Join us to celebrate the publication of Kill Me Like You Mean It and Kinderspiel by United Stages

You’re invited to an exclusive event sponsored by United Stages. Come meet and mingle with a diverse and important group of small-venue performance movers and shakers as they celebrate this year’s publication of new plays from the vanguard of today’s New York theater scene.

New York Times writer Steven McElroy will host the festivities, original casts will read excerpts and United Stages founders Jonathan Reuning and Ian Marshall will be on hand to meet you and share their vision of a thriving united small-venue theater industry. The festivities begin at 6:15 on Thursday, May 29th, at The Drama Book Shop. We hope to see you there!

About Kill Me Like You Mean It:

"A stroke of genius..Sharp, smart parody...Rikhye's fusion of Ionesco and Raymond Chandler is both brilliantly plotted and generally hilarious."
-Martin Denton, NYtheatre.com

About Kinderspiel:

"[T]hink No Exit decked out in fishnets and Art Deco decay...The overall effect is haunting..."
- Raven Snook, Time Out NY (4 Stars)

Kill Me Like You Mean It, Too

Last year's CineTheatre installment Kill Me Like You Mean It will be remounted for two performances (June 5 & 8 @ 8pm) at the Brick Theater's The Film Festival: A Theater Festival.

After a 100% sold-out critically acclaimed run in 2007, this visually stunning production will be restaged entirely behind a movie screen. Why bother mounting a live performance when the audience won't see it? Why bother doing anything?

When: June 5 and June 8 @ 8pm

Where: The Brick Theater
575 Metropolitan Ave
Williamsburg, Brooklyn
(btw Union and Lorimer)

How much: $15

Thanks to all who helped make The Accidental Patriot: The Lamentable Tragedy of the Pirate Desmond Connelly, Irish by Birth, English by Blood, and American by Inclination such an incredible success. Martin Denton of NYtheatre.com called it "absolutely stunning...indie theatre at its best," New York Cool called it "happily over-the-top, rollicking fun. (Think The Princess Bride)," and Film Experience called it an "entertainment adventure...with go-for-broke humor and pre-method acting aplomb."
