Stolen Chair does Tom Waits

Puppet playlist takes talented puppeteers, brilliant musicians and slams them together into an evening of live theater to stir the senses. Our first Playlist will feature works of puppetry set to the rasping, crooning, and shouting of Tom Waits. A chance to see some of New York's most interesting puppet artists at play. Featuring pieces by Eric Wright, Melissa Creighton, Jean-Marie Keevans, Andrew Broaddus, Maja Rajenovich, Mary Robinette-Kowal and Jodi Eichelberger.

Stolen Chair will be presenting a work-in-progress movement piece scored to Tom Waits' Temptation and I Don't Wanna Grow Up, featuring David Bengali, Liza Wade Green, and Noah Schultz.

Stolen Chair's Jon Stancato appears in Back Stage, NYtheatre Voices and the ERPA blog

In a recent edition of Back Stage's national edition, Jon appears in the "Ask a Director" column. The question: "How do you deal with a cast of actors that have different processes and techniques?" Read Jon's response here.

Over at NYTheatre.com's NYtheatre Voices, Rochelle Denton asks Jon to talk about the recent Economic Revitilization for Performing Artists (ERPA) grant Stolen Chair received from The Field and to discuss our plans to transform Stolen Chair into a CST. Find out more here.

Meanwhile, over at the ERPA blog, Jon and Aviva travel to New Paltz to interview farmers about their CSAs so we can steal all their good ideas for our CST.

We hope you'll help us continue to develop the ideas for the CST by visiting our website and filling out this important survey.
